Get to Know Me🌸

🌸Get To Know Me!!🌸

Hello, Assalamualaikum everyone. Welcome to my blog. this would be my platform for me to share all my educational thoughts, reflection or some sharing. Before that, it would be nice to get to know me first.

Just call me Amira Shahreer. I am from Pahang, Malaysia, the largest state of peninsular Malaysia. I love cats and art. Sometimes, I express my creativity through pictures and art. I'll post all my artworks on my Instagram. I am optimistic and funny. I make jokes because I hate negative surrounding. To be positive and mature is my priority so I can handle all the challenges in a calm and rational state. Honestly,  I used to be someone who was so sensitive and negative. As a result, there were so many opportunities that I wasted. So, I thought I should always be opportunist, confident and happy.

As for my education background, I am a STPM leaver and I graduated from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Temerloh. While awaiting for my university application, I joined Giat Mara Kuala Krau and took Fashion and Dressmaking course. I'm not a professional tailor, but I do have the basic skill of sewing skills. To be honest, one of dreams is to have my own oversized t-shirt line.InsyaAllah. Then, Alhamdulillah I got offer from International Islamic University Malaysia to pursue my study in TESL (Teaching English as a Second language). At first, I feel shocked because I hope I got computer science. However, I fell in love with teaching after few things I've explored in Education.

Be Grateful for Life,
Not everyone made it this far

Currently, I'm studying at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) which is my dream university. I still remember every time I passed by the university on the way back from my uncle's home, I would make Dua. After a semester of studying here, I found that it was not an easy task for me and I can say that I am struggling throgh my classes in university . I am facing a lot of things that I have never experienced before and I admit that TESL is actually one of a challenging field to explore. The way of learning at the university is very different from school. Moreover, we have to learn online as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. I actually prefer to study face-to face with lecturers and needed references in the university library. But, it's okay. No pain, no gain.

May Allah ease my study journey. I hope I can gain skills and knowledges as much as I can to enhance my achievement and skill so I can be productive, skillful and capable that can be used in my career and to improve myself to be better. Aamin.🌸🌸🌸🌸

Diary# : 1My memories with my STPM family

Hai, Assalamualaikum!! How are you? I want to share one of my memories during my STPM. So like in my previous post which "Helloooo Get To Know Me'. I have already mentioned that I am a STPM leaver. In 2018, I had received an offer from UITM Kuala Pilah to study Diploma in Food Technology. At that time, I went through emotional moments as my parents did not want me to study there because they wanted me to take STAM in Kuliah Al-Lughah Waddin As-Sultan Abu Bakar Pahang. However, I convinced my parents that I really wanted to take STPM. Why I chose STPM. I have my own personal reasons. (maybe one day I'll tell you why 😘)

I started my classes quite late compared to the other students due to the registration problems. In my school, the categorized subjects that have been offered were science stream and science social so I chose science social which means I would learn about History, Business, Bahasa Melayu,MUET (Malaysian University English Test), and General Studies. Omega is my name's class. I was quite shy and quiet on the first day of my school. The environment seemed awkward to me. At first, I was left behind because I was trying to adapt to the lessons and the new environment. Luckily, I met new friends and they were so nice to me even the teachers were really considerate and understanding. Sometimes they gave us some motivation and inspiring words. One day, I really want to be a good teacher just like them.

I learned so many things here even the things that not related to the academics throughout 1 year and a half (3 semesters). The best thing was the teachers were really emphasized soft skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication. Maybe that is why the teachers frequently asking us to describe or express our opinions regarding the topics that have been learned so whenever the teacher called out my name my anxiety started to shoot up 😆

I still remember the moment when I  was appointed as one of the committee members of the student representative council. I was shocked yet excited.

Day by day, I was getting stronger although I almost give up to endure the challenges and the pain yet I have been lucky enough to have some amazingly supportive friends and teachers. Sometimes, we will have group discussions after class hours so we can discuss and help each other. I always explain and teach my classmates about history subjects, while my other friends took charge by explaining the other subjects. Reviewing the materials, discussing the exam tips, and explaining the lesson back that have been taught by teachers were our study routines. Their dedication and passion to succeed inspired me a lot to become the best version of myself. For instance, one of my friends Syaza was kind and competitive which had been an inspiration for me to move further in my studies.

Our Graduation Day

Last but not least, Alhamdulillah! our hard work pays off. We made it. Congratulation to my STPM family. I couldn't do this without you. May Allah bless and repay your kindness, InsyaAllah. Thus, this is the last day of our school. How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

What about you??? do you have unforgettable lovely memory?
